The Bigger The Better

"Lesotho Promise" is the name of the biggest diamond found for the last 13 years, named after the tiny African mountain kingdom where it was found. Gigantic enough to reach the price of $12 million at an auction conducted on October 9th, the diamond is expected to boost up its price to $20 million when cut. The 603 carat, approximately 120 gram diamond went under the hammer of the Antwerp Diamond Center and the South African Diamond Corporation, the owner of the Graff jewellery was the one that acquired the precious stone. One of the largest diamonds that has ever come to be found is planned to be cut in a big heart shape and the smaller stones left will be separately sold. The actual diamond size can be compared to a one and a half the size of a tennis ball, which is truly an extraordinary size for a diamond.

Diamonds Are Girl's Best Friend...

Do you know this famous song?
The text is by Jule Styne and the music by Leo Robin for the movie "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" with a participation of amazing Marylin Monroe.
Enjoy it...

The French are glad to die for love.
They delight in fighting duels.
But I prefer a man who lives
And gives expensive jewels.

A kiss on the hand
May be quite continental,
But diamonds are a girl's best friend.

A kiss may be grand
But it won't pay the rental
On your humble flat
Or help you at the automat.

Men grow cold
As girls grow old,
And we all lose our charms in the end.

But square-cut or pear-shaped,
These rocks don't loose their shape.
Diamonds are a girl's best friend.

Tiffany's!
Cartier!
Black Starr!
Frost Gorham!
Talk to me Harry Winston.
Tell me all about it!

There may come a time
When a lass needs a lawyer,
But diamonds are a girl's best friend.

There may come a time
When a hard-boiled employer
Thinks you're awful nice,
But get that ice or else no dice.

He's your guy
When stocks are high,
But beware when they start to descend.

It's then that those louses
Go back to their spouses.
Diamonds are a girl's best friend.

I've heard of affairs
That are strictly platonic,
But diamonds are a girl's best friend.

And I think affairs
That you must keep liaisonic
Are better bets
If little pets get big baguettes.

Time rolls on,
And youth is gone,
And you can't straighten up when you bend.

But stiff back
Or stiff knees,
You stand straight at Tiffany's.

Diamonds! Diamonds!
I don't mean rhinestones!
But diamonds are a girl's best friend.

Jewellery & Clothes

Recently, a very close partnership between jewellery companies and celebrities has come to existence. More and more jewellery designers choose a celebrity that would best fit and promote their collections. Doing so, they have found an easier way to advertise their products gaining not only a trade mark brand, but also a famous face that would be recognizable and associated with a certain brand product. Such is the case with Lazare Diamonds that had a recent collaboration with Ritsuko Shirahama, an eminent Japanese designer. The idea was the diamond manufacturer to create a unique and one-of-a-kind evening diamond jacket for her at the cost of $1 million. This exceptional acquisition is amazingly embellished with 2000 perfectly cut Lazare diamonds, forming beautiful curves on the surface of the jacket, with a total content of 300 carats. There are also two pounds of platinum supporting its stunning look. The jacket is planned to make a world tour and soon to appear in the US retail shops.

Choosing a Diamond
by Karl Needan

Diamonds are a girl's best friends, they say. A diamond is the perfect token for both men and women on special occasions, an engagement, a birthday, or just because you want to. But before you go and buy the big rock, there are things you will need to know. There are four things to look out when buying diamonds commonly referred to as the four C's of diamonds. They assist you in verifying the quality and beauty of the stone as well as the value.

The cut of the diamond is what brings out the natural luster of the stone especially when set in a ring, necklace or bracelet. A popular technique nowadays is cutting the stone so that it reflects light and sparkles when viewed from many angles. This stone is bound to turn heads.

Now, examine the color of the diamond! examining hues is not a strange as it sounds. It's a good indicator, in fact of
the quality! the clearer it is, the more perfect. In fact at the right price, a considerable one at that, you can get an absolutely clear diamond! a perfect one. But tinges of color are not visible sometimes, so you can get them at much better rates.

The carat weight of the diamond refers to the size. Bigger is not necessarily better especially if you have small fingers. In fact a smaller carat diamond looks better on a small finger. If your fingers are thicker, you can go for a higher carat diamond.

Clarity, to complete the quartet, refers to the flaws that naturally exist in the diamond! they existed when the diamond was formed. Most diamonds contain flaws, but they are difficult to distinguish, unless you are highly experienced and know what to look for. But if you can find a diamond you are sure is nearly flawless, it will end up costing you an arm and a leg.

When you're choosing diamonds, you may want to factor in all of these categories in order to purchase a diamond that is just right for the recipient. If you are on a limited budget, you may want to find a diamond whose clarity and color are less than perfect in order to be able to purchase a larger carat weight. The beneficiary will be too thrilled to bother about all these details anyway. The truth worth of a diamond however, lies in its quality and not size or cut.

Do you have a bad experience while shopping jewellery online?
When you intend to order an item by internet be sure that you are ordering from the online trusted store.
It is the first rool you have to watch out before sending your credit card details.
Shopping Online Will Save You Dollars
by Fonda Compratka

Today, almost everyone has had the chance to check out the Internet in some fashion. But, not everyone has done any of their shopping on the Internet, and this is a shame. On the Internet, overhead is low (no bricks and mortar), so online vendors can consistenly offer you lower prices and great terms like free shipping. And not only can you buy luxuries - like jewelry and even cars - but you can also purchase some of your essentials - such as clothing and food. But beware! There are some dangers in online shopping as well.

The first thing you should be aware of when shopping online is secuirty. You not only have to worry about people stealing your credit card numbers, but you also need to be careful of identity theft. So, before you start shopping online, you need to take a few precautions.

Whenever buying anything online, it is always best to pay with a credit card. This is so that if a charge needs to be disputed, the credit card company can be used to assist the card holder to retrieve his or her money.

But, even though a credit card might be your best way to shop for goods and services online, it does have its drawbacks. For one, it can be a real test of patience when
you need to work with your credit card company to dispute unauthorized credit card charges. There is a lot of time spent on the phone, and the credit card companies don't always seem to have your best interests at heart. But, even with these types of delays, a credit card is the fastest, safest method of purchasing online.

Another thing to watch out for when shopping online is to always make sure you understand the return policies of any store you wish to make a purchase from. Plus, you will want to immediately examine any item you purchase when it arrives at your home to make sure there are no defects or shipping damages. If there is a problem, you will want to quickly contact the seller's customer service organization to arrange a refund or return.

One way to make sure you stay on top of your online purchases is to immediately print out the invoice after you have purchased something online. Write the following
information on the printed invoice if it is not already there - web site URL, address and telephone number, the date of purchase, and the expected arrival date. And, if you can't find this information on an online shopping site, it is best to find some other online vendor to make your purchase.

And finally, one of the best "gut checks" for an online shopping excursion is to trust your instincts. When shopping on the Internet, oftentimes you will see bargains that are too good to be true. Once in a while, you might get lucky if you trust these types of sites. But most often you are setting yourself up for a big disappointment. If it looks too good to be true, it most likely is. And remember - have a safe, and happy, online shopping trip!

Online Jewellery Obsession
Jewellery
By Latisha Brazer
Jewelery comprises ornamental objects, usually made with precious metals and gems, worn by people. Costume jewelry is made of less valuable materials. However, jewelery can be fashioned from almost any kind of material. Jewelry in various forms has been worn by both genders in practically every human culture, on every inhabited continent.

Many cultures place a very high value upon the jewelry they own. It can be symbolic too such as wearing wedding rings tells everyone your married, wearing a cross tell other what religion you are. Jewelry is also associated with power and wealth. Kings, queens, princes and princess, all adorn themselves with crowns and tiaras loaded with diamonds, rubies, emeralds and other precious stones. Other common forms of jewelry are rings, earrings, bracelets, anklets, cuff links, belly chains. Some kinds of jewelry is worn to alert others of a medical condition.

Jewelry, especially when made with precious materials is generally considered valuable and desirable. Common metals used for jewelry include gold, silver and platinum. Gemstones typically used in jewelry include diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires and opals. Other common materials for jewelry include glass (such as fused glass or enamel), wood, which is often carved, shells and other natural animal substances such as ivory and bone, and natural clay and plasticine clays. Beads are also widely used in jewelry. They can be made out of many different substances, including glass, gemstones, shells, clay, and wood. Beaded jewelry encompasses bracelets, earrings, necklaces and belts. Fish scales are an example of uncommonly used materials.

Many designers mix different metals within one jewelry piece. Some people do not like to mix jewelry. Others are more comfortable and confident wearing contrasting jewelry, such as wearing gold rings with silver earrings or bracelets. Generally, people in their teens and twenties want to adorn themselves with what everyone else is wearing. This is considered to be a fad, since the most popular items change frequently. People in their thirties and older typically want something that no one else has and strongly desire their own unique jewelry item. This is considered fashion. These people will wear the jewelry they choose for many years because they find it appealing and effective. Many such people purchase designer jewelry to
add to their collections.

Jewelry should accessorize your outfit, whether you're in a dress or jeans. Larger, more reflective jewelry makes for a better display and is attractive, but smaller jewelry is called for when it is essential to play down your look. To be appreciated, jewelry has to be noticeable.

Kylie Minogue Got Married

Beautiful singer Kylie Minogue is reportedly engaged with her boyfriend Olivier Martinez, after accepting a £39,500 diamond ring from the French actor.

A source says: "It's not clear whether it's an engagement ring, but it's certainly a sign of his commitment and feelings." Her sister, Dannii Minogue also tries to be close to Kylie during her battle with breast cancer. The singer is happy that her sister has found the right man for her. "He's been incredible. He makes her so happy. I would love them to marry," Dannii said of Oliver Martinez. Kylie, 37, is currently in Paris, with her parents and Olivier, 39, for aggressive anti-cancer chemotherapy. Olivier is believed to have supported her throughout the diagnosis and treatment of her disease. The pair has been dating for three years and reports suggest that he popped the question to the singer in August last year, when he presented her with the diamond engagement ring.
